House
Old-house texture
Brick walls, timber windows, and aged cement floors stay visible. We let the house keep breathing.

Brand Story · Tainan 1959
Sūnhonghō is not a newly built cafe. It is the founding home of the Taiwanese electric-fan brand Sun Hong — an old house we slowly woke up, keeping the red door, terrazzo, and a room full of fans, then brewing coffee and making roll cakes inside.
A House That Still Breathes
From a single electric fan to three Shiba and a dusting of sugar — let the images tell the rest.
Origin
The house began as a residence in Tainan's West Central District, with cracked cement floors and weathered timber windows. We cleaned, strengthened the structure, and kept as much of the original texture as possible.
The value of an old house is not a spotless renovation, but the layers of time left on its surfaces. The red wooden door and terrazzo underfoot were already here before us.
We are not here to make the old house new. We are here to let it keep living.

Three Pillars
The scent, pace, and flavor of Sūnhonghō come from three choices: house, hands, and time.

House
Brick walls, timber windows, and aged cement floors stay visible. We let the house keep breathing.

Hands
Cream, seasonal fruit, and tart shells are prepared before opening. Desserts are limited and never held for the next day.

Pace
When guests are waiting, dine-in time is limited to 90 minutes. On quiet days, the house decides the pace.
Timeline
Originally a West Central District residence, with brick and timber details still preserved.
The original layout and windows were kept while structure and daylight were improved.
The shop began with afternoon desserts, coffee, limited daily batches, and reservations.
The 90-minute dine-in rule and seasonal menu cycle were refined for a smoother visit.

Visit
Sūnhonghō runs on reservations. When guests are waiting, dine-in time is 90 minutes. Reserve at least one day ahead, and pre-order limited roll cakes when possible.
